Terms & refunds

Plain terms, no surprises.

This page explains how paying for a website or care plan works, and when you can get money back. Last updated November 3, 2026. White's Web Design is based in New York, and these terms follow New York law.

Our two promises

Refunds

If a payment doesn't go through

Stripe tries your card again and we email you the same day, with a reminder each business day after. If it's still unpaid 5 business days after the due date, we pause your site until it's paid. Nothing is deleted, and it comes back as soon as you pay, usually within one business day. If money is tight, tell us and we'll work something out.

Accessibility

We build every site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers or a keyboard, following the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as closely as we can. If something on our site or a site we built is hard to use, email us and we'll fix it.

What's always yours

Hosting is included in every care plan. You renew your domain yourself (about $15 to $25 a year), or choose our domain add-on ($25 a year, free on Partner) and we keep it renewed and connected for you. Either way, your domain name is registered in your name, and your logo, photos, words and customer information always stay yours. If you leave, we send you a copy of your site files and help you move.
